Set up Router (D-link) Wi-Fi password Part 2 – Set up New Network & Wi-Fi password


Connect To Router Network Page - 
Put your router IP into the search bar, before that you should make sure you're on the Internet.

First Time Login -
After you connect to your new router or reset the router. Whatever, for the first time login, uses “admin” as username login. For D-Link router, no matter which model, there is "NO password, if the other routers, you can put “admin” or leave it empty no password into password field, lets try either one.

Reset Login Password - 
After done the 1st time login, you’d better reset your login password. 
Click on the top navigation bar, click “TOOLS”, stay left sidebar “ADMIN”. So, what’s that? The login password is NOT equals to WIFI password! It is your router account, you’ve set up the gate’s password to prevent someone, without your permission to login your network and change your account anything such as your WIFI password or any network security settings.

What’s different between of Admin & User?
Admin means that you can read, access and change the account status.
But user means that only read and access the account status

The Fast Way to set up your New Network & WiFi password - 
If you are in a hurry, use the fast way to set or reset your WI-FI password.
CLICK the top navigation bar "Set Up" tab, and then click on left sidebar “Wireless network” link if you used wireless to connect your router; and then, scroll down to the bottom option tab: “Manual Wireless Connection Set Up”. 
FIRST, change the “Wireless Network Name” (also called SSID). 
SECOND, the security mode: WPA OR WPA-PERSONAL (check out which level of password security you like)
THIRD,  choose the WPA mode to “AUTO or WPA or WPA2” that security type for encrypting your password. 
THE LAST THING, PRE-SHARED KEY to enter your new WiFi password.

The Best Way to set up your New Network Name & WiFi password - 
It's only take few minutes done for using the best way!
CLICK the top navigation bar "Set Up" tab, and then click on left sidebar “Wireless network” link, 
The FIRST section of “Wireless Network Setup Wizard” section, CLICK the “Wireless Connection Setup Wizard” tab. 
STEP – 1, you’ve to set up your new Wi-Fi network name.
You’d better select the “Manually Assign a network key” to create your own password instead of the “Automatically Assign” because auto assign will send you a long complicated password that it might be hard to remember. ALSO, check the box of “Use WPA Encryption” to mask your password for doing security setting by the way.

Then click NEXT tab go to the next step.

STEP - 2, “Wireless Security Password” and type your password into the field, make sure it’s between 8 and 63 characters, you’d better these characters using between A- Z and the number using between 0 -9. Then click SAVE to complete all the steps.

Re-set your new network - 
AFTER done the fast or the best either way, you've to Re-Set your  New Network, 
CLICK "System Preference" -> "Network" -> Choose "Network Name" point to your new network name -> and then enter your new WiFi password.
When done the new network connection, refresh the browser.
